Reporting and Dashboards

Reporting

Data is useless if you cannot easily get that information out of a system in a timely manner.  Similarly, too much information is not helpful if it obfuscates what you are looking for.  All of the information in ACTS is available for detailed or summary reporting and ACTS provides two styles of reporting: canned and ad hoc.

Canned reports are formatted to look aesthetically pleasing and are designed to be sent directly to their intended recipient with little or no modifications.  You simply select the report from the list of available reports, provide the appropriate criteria, and the document is created.

When you cannot find the report you need, you may create your own.  Ad hoc reports allow you to quickly extract detailed or summary information from ACTS.  Once created, you may choose to make the report available to just you, or everyone else.  Both report types allow you to print, email, or export the data into one of over 25 available formats.  Also, since our technology is based on the Oracle enterprise database system, you may also use the reporting tool of your choice to access the data directly.

Dashboards

The information gathered from the various processes must be continually available in a manner that is obvious, timely, and appropriate.  This ultimate reporting step is addressed by using data dashboards that allow for a completely customizable experience that is tailored to the employee's area of responsibility.  Armed with the appropriate metrics, key performance indicators, and analysis available at a glance, all members at every level of an organization are empowered and encouraged to improve the underlying processes, and thereby, the organization.

Every employee may configure their dashboard to their own personal needs, choosing their layout from a list of dozens of available controls.  Each control may be configured as to the information it contains, graph style, colors used, how often it is refreshed, etc.  Where applicable, controls also support the ability to "drill-down" into the presented information to get detailed information and quickly assess problems and get to the root causes.
