Everyone is in the business of the environment. The capital and social markets are scrutinizing the environmental performance of companies, often using obscure and inconsistent measures, resulting in impacts to reputation and shareholder value. Therefore, it is crucial for companies to establish clear business measures to assess and drive environmental performance and to effectively communicate those performances externally.
GUI Guidelines
In general, the Graphical User Interface (GUI) Guidelines are intended to follow the Microsoft Windows interface guidelines, as set forth in "The Windows Interface Guidelines for Software Design," published by Microsoft Press. As a developer, you should take the time to scan through all the guidelines therein, and read any sections that have to do with topics on which you are less than expert. These guidelines will typically expand upon or, in rare cases, may contradict a Microsoft guideline in favor of a more user-friendly standard.
